Default Maiden Voyage

My wife and I took our first road trip in our 2007 XKR. We left London, Ontario to drive to Chicago, about 700kms. The Jag performed flawlessly, no issues with the adaptive cruise or anything else. The car certainly draws attention and comments from people. It makes one feel good about owning a Jag. We look forward to more trips next year, but alas winter will be closing in soon so limited opportunity except for short trips for the rest of this year.

I hope to get down to Tennessee in the spring, and will probably run the dragon's tail road which is near where my parents live. Can't wait for that.

It's going to be a long winter.

Regards,

Jon

good luck with yur xkr, hope you have many good road trips ahead, there are some gremlin issues with these eariler models as i have found with my 07, but can be fixed, so never worry, but would not swap it for the world, enjoy it as i do,

Congrats on the purchase! Forget the tail of the dragon. It's touristy and filled with traffic and cops.

I just had the most amazing drive of my life on Route 33 from Seneca Rocks, WV to Harrisonburg, VA. Fantastic!

Welcome to the forum!

If we are making suggestions, I just did a loop from Elizabethton Tennessee down towards Boone North Carolina via 321. We cut off early through Banner Elk where we had lunch, and came back via 19E.

What amazing roads! The whole time I was wishing I had my Jag rather than riding in the back seat of my parents' Passat!
