Default My XKR now has paddles fitted

So went and fitted paddles myself and i'm happy with the results. Bought these on eBay,
BMW SMG E46 M3/CSL BLACK SHIFT PADDLE SHIFTER paddles | eBay

So they say there for a BMW but didn't bother me. Took off the hinge bit first. They came in aluminium finish which i could have left, but got some carbon fiber vinyl which was a near 100% match of my car trim. Covered both sides of the paddles and it looked identical. Then i made a template of each paddle from cardboard and done some cutting to make fit. When happy put down template on each paddle and cut them to suit. Stuck the new paddles on top of old one with some teck 3 silicone and finished, working fine. Took a while to get cutting wright so paddles would still work. Anyone who has seen them comment straight away on how good they look, especially when they match the carbon inside trim, they look a bit brighter , but that's the camera flash, the old ones looked as they might have never been there.
Picture show stages and finish.

They look good - I'd be worried I'd hit them by accident (I do that with the standard paddles occasionally - most disconcerting when the car doesn't auto shift)

Very slick, especially how you left the illuminated portion of the OE paddles visible and can still see the headlight and washer settings. Nice job!

Thanks guys. Thought they would be hard to get the hang of, but no problem, haven't hit them by accident yet.
