I finally finished my XKR “project.” I bought this car a year ago with 17500 miles and have driven it about 3000 miles since. My intent from the beginning was to essentially turn it into my own custom version of the 2008 UK-only XKR-S. I didn't really try to source the 2008 side ground effects because I liked jahummer's idea of using later XKR-S rockers better.
The truth is that I studied quite a few threads on this board in an effort to make decisions about how I wanted the car to ultimately look so I want to say thanks to those members who have had previous discussions on stance, wheels, exhaust, rocker panels, diffusers, splitters, rear spoilers, etc.
The reality is that I took all of YOUR best ideas and applied them to what I wanted to do with my car and I ended up with the following mods (all body modifications are OEM parts and I did keep all of the original parts):
XK single resonator center exhaust section
Spires Springs
2Crave Mach ME4 wheels. 20X9 front and 20X10.5 rear with custom offset and correctly drilled bolt pattern. Tires are Ohtsu by Falken FP8000 in 285-30-20 (rear) and 255-35-20 (front)
2008 (UK-Only) XKR-S Front Splitter
XKR-S Rocker Panels/Side Skirts
Speed/Black Pack Rear Diffuser
Aero Kit Rear Spoiler from the Jag Accessory Catalog
Chrome Power Vents from the Jag Accessory Catalog
Hood Louvers from the Jag Accessory Catalog
Anyway, I think I ended up with a pretty cool XKR-S. This is my third R-type Jag and I have enjoyed each one. I bought this one with the intent of keeping it for a year or so and making it a “project” car of sorts. So, I am going to enjoy it for a couple more months and then put it up for sale.
With that said, I’m not done with R-Types, though, and I am thinking of replacing it with another XJR, an S-Type R, or maybe even a convertible XKR.

Nice mods for your version of the Europe-only 2008 XKR-S, particularly the rear bumper and diffuser, but there are too many incorrect details to consider it as a 2008 XKR-S clone. For all the details, see https://www.autoblog.com/2008/03/04/...kr-s-unveiled/
The most obvious differences are the body color (Ultimate Black Metallic), hood vents, wheels (Vortex) and brakes (Alcons), plus badges and sill plates.
Nevertheless, very tasty and nicely done!
P.S. This post is not meant to criticize Ben's mods; I think his XKR looks great! Because the 2008 XKR-S was sold only in Europe, I wanted to give Forum members in the US, Canada, and other countries where the 2008 XKR-S was not sold all of the details of that rare model. https://www.autoblog.com/2008/03/04/...kr-s-unveiled/

Reason: Added P.S.
I probably should have been clear that my intent wasn't to do a clone, per se. My intent was to do my own version with a similar(but not exact) look.

Very nicely done, and I love the wheels. As you did, when I got my car, I wanted to personalize my car to emulate another forum member's car at the time. And this most closely resembled the XKR175, complete with the side skirts front splitter and my custom rear bumper/diffuser. Your car looks great and it reflects what you want. Enjoy!
SNG Barratt US in NH had a used 2014 bumper listed on eBay that had the black pack diffuser & I was able to buy it from them for $400 including shipping.

Don't mean to revive this but I was brought here from another thread you commented on about your wheel setup..could you confirm what the offsets are on your 07 xkr I believe you said +40 front and +25rear? Looking to get some wheels and I think they're gonna have to be custom because it's near impossible to find nice fitting wheels for the xkr. I want a setup like yours where the wheel fill in the rear arch (wider) and front a bit as well.

Sure, I remember I had to do a ton on research before deciding on these.
Fronts were 20x9 with +40 offset.
Rears were 20x10.5 with a +25 offset.

Thanks for the quick reply, just a little worried as these rims I want are a different style from yours so I'm not too sure if your offset would still have the same fitment or if it would be off by a lot? If it's likely going to be roughly the same I don't mind and I'll order them? Lol
Assuming you have a 2007-2009 (2010+ need different rear offsets), the only thing I can think of that might complicate fitment is if you have Alcon brakes. I have never had an R that had them so I can't speak to what might fit and what might not.
Here is a thread that helped me out when I was calculating what size I wanted. They do discuss the Alcon brake issue there as well.
