Default New Acquisition

Yesterday I acquired a 1994 6.0L XJS. This my second XJS. My first one, a 78 was my daily driver for four years. The new one pictured below will join my XKR in the stable next Tuesday after it arrives from Reno NV. The XJS has 65.5k miles on the odometer and looks very good to me. See a couple of pics below:

For me the XJS is one of the best Jag designs ever.... I wish I could have my mom's 1989 XJS she had back in the day... I loved that car... Nice pick up, enjoy...

I like it! I've had the same thought of adding one when I do my garage addition.

Looks great. What happened to the bottom of the front spoiler?

Thanks for all the nice comments. There is damage to the right end of the splitter just beneath the outside edge of the headlamp. I intend to look into getting it repaired after a 60k mile servicing which is scheduled for 9/23. Truth be told - I am more excited over this now than I was when I bought it. I .have been reading all the manuals and books I can get my hands on. I have also started visiting the XJS Forum. Not as many active participants there as there are here; but that is to be expected given the age of the XJS'. Thanks again

I like the style, and the color is starting to grow on me.
What is that specific color called?

Once I get the car here I will look up the color from the code.

It looks like Carnival, same as my old '98 XJR. Looking through my brochures, that was an XJS colour in 1996 so was probably one in 1994 as well.

Wow, that is a great looking car. Those are some of the best Jaguar colors; metallic red. Radiance Red for sure made the XK and XJ exude elegance.

Have you thought of a manual conversion? Really does wonders to the car.

Not at this point. My inclination is to leave it as stock as possible. The first task is to make sure that is roadworthy after that there are some cosmetics to take car of.. The six digit ODO reads 65.5k miles and according to Carfax I am the fourth owner.

Met up with Ralph today for lunch (but really to sneak a peak at the new acquisition). The car is stunning, very nice condition, elegant, shiny and a 6.0L V12 in a beautiful Carnival Red color over camel leather. Exceptionally nice. Enjoy it in good health, Ralph.
