New Request (Old Topic): Current Recommended Brake Pads...
I am looking on FCPEuro (first stop) and about to check RockAuto.
There is a WIDE range of pricing on pads. May I ask for pros/cons on the pads you have bought and installed? I am assuming I will do fronts this time - though am thinking I need to pull off the wheels and measure the thickness all around. I am being told I need pads by my instrument cluster warning notice.
Car is a 2012 XK with standard brakes (no modifications that I can tell).
Thanks in advance, this is my first Jaguar pad replacement exercise. Also, am based in the USA in case any international members have feedback.

Lots of threads on the matter. I went back to oem after trying a few brands. I had enough of the glazing on the discs and/or the lack of bite.
…Especially in one instance where on a cold, wet night in New England after driving for hours, there was a noticeable lag in bite when I needed them most. I had to quickly pump the brakes with all my might to get them working. Yes, those discs were drilled and slotted.

The thread below has many observations and recommendations.

Thankfully, I’ve not had Guy’s experience with my non-OEM replacement pads on my 2008 XKR. The OEM pads stopped well at 30k miles but noise and dust were not for me.
