Default New Tyres/TPMS

Getting new Tyres for the first time. Will this affect the TPMS system?

TPMS sensors usually last 5-8 years, so if everything works before the new tires they should work afterwards. If you will go over the 8 year mark before you expect to replace the tires again, you MIGHT consider replacing them now. Use Siemens VDO 53004 sensors if you do.
You should also put your vehicle info in your signature so it'd be easy to reference your production year.

Since the OP is in the UK, he probably needs a different model TPMS. Those Siemens are 315MHz, and he probably needs the 433MHz units.

Jagst has a 2012 XK. Click on his Forum Name and his car is in his Public Profile.

Most likely, all he needs now is the TPMS rebuild kit for each valve stem sensor. The tire dealer can scan each sensor to verify that it still works before removing the old tires.

I agree with Stuart S. due to the fact the Jag is a 2012 and the OEM TPMS that are already mounted in the wheels should last another 5 to 6 years.

Here in the USA when new tires are mounted, new TPMS valve stem kits are installed at a cost of about $5.00 each tire USD.
