New wheels and tyres on XK-R
The standard Kalimnos have been relegated for winter tyre use.
Now fitted a set ofVulcans from and XK-RS, slightly wider at the rearwith the new Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S.
Wheels painted in Santorini Black with lots of coloured small flakes in it.
Pics show existing nuts but a full set including locking nuts in black arrived just got to sit down and swap.

Thanks for sharing. Let us know how you like them over time. I recently upgraded the PSSs to Sport Cup 2s but considered the 4S for some time. In the end I needed the stickiest street tire I could get.

Road surface noise. A massive reduction in noise even more noticeable top down, compared to the Dunlops fitted originally.
Grip. Once bedded in surprisingly quickly grip levels are seeming to be improved. All subjective but trying a few corners I like to play on and know well and a couple of roundabouts the tyres seem to grip very well with a lot more feel,as to what the tyres are telling me.
Also driven in the wet as we get a lot of rain in the UK it does seem harder to accidentally break traction when pulling out of a side road and accelerating to the speed of other traffic..
From a purely visual point of view the velvet finish on parts of the sidewall is quite interesting and makes the brand name stand out..
First impressions then very good pleased with the purchase, long may it continue.
