OBD module and inspection
Took my car in for an inspection today and the shop said the couldn’t access the information needed, getting a message that the car hadn’t been driven enough since a reset (I changed the battery a couple weeks ago). Does this make any sense / sound familiar to anyone?
yes, a lot of cars do this. for my saab there are certain lengths of time it has to spend within a certain RPM/load range. it takes about 100 miles of driving to complete the cycle and clear the emissions "not ready" status.
This website lists the drive cycle monitos and how to reinitialize if applicable to your model.
