Pwr folding mirrors
Hey guys,
I've discovered, my Portfolio does not have power folding mirrors. This being the case, does anyone know if they can be added? That is, is the wiring plug/jack (?) still within the existing door mirror location?

You need order door mirrors with power fold function: C2P16478 and C2P16477 if you VIN till: B32752
The mirror element and Mirror Element Motor remains from yours existing door mirrors.
Intall and plug new one mirrors and visit JLR dealer or someone who has SDD software for activating this function, after activation on Touch Screen Menu will be available mirror option

My 2009 XKR Portfolio Edition also has the "folding mirrors".
I actually turned the "folding mirrors" off.
I didn't see much reason to have the mirrors fold in and out constantly when turning off or starting the car. I have plenty of room to park and walk around the car in my garage.
I am never worried about someone hitting or damaging the mirrors. Most cars on the road don't have automatic folding mirrors anyway.

I don't have them set to auto-fold, but it is useful to be able to fold them when required.
I've checked the wiring diagrams; there doesn't seem to be any loom difference with/without powerfold, so all the connections should be there.

I have to do the same thing in order to give she-who-must-be-obeyed plenty of room to fling her doors open to retrieve the bountiful harvest of items on her recurring shopping trips. The only downside of this approach (me hugging the wall) is that she has to wait until I back completely out of the garage before she can enter the vehicle, but it does greatly reduce the propensity for door dings.
I don't have the folding mirrors and don't miss that option, when there out it keeps other cars at a distance when passing and usually the other driver pulls in when meeting the car anyway. Most of all i think they look better out.

I back mine in, she backs hers out. Safer that way. Besides, I can't front-in, I wouldn't be able to get out of the driver door.
