Hi all. I am useless mechanically and do not wish to try taking a lug nut off the 19" OEM wheels of my '07 XK. I need to order replacements (4, one for each wheel) for the locking nuts the previous owner put on but lost the key to. Can someone tell me what "seat" I need to order: acorn/cone, mag, or ball? Does it matter? Anything else I should know or consider? Thanks!

 

If you have the OEM alloy rims you should be ordering the mag lug w/ washer.

Here is an example I came across:

The lug nut size is M12 X 1.5 - for a good cheaper option look into the McGard Wheel locks - they make a OES equivelant set for the Jaguar vehicles w/ the intergrated metal washer - I use them on my alloy rims with no issues. Hope this info helps.

 

Thanks so much, but my post was not clear. I don't want to replace them with new locking nuts, I want to replace them with regular (non-locking) nuts. Can I use any type of M12x1.5 nut with my 19" OEM alloy wheels? Or must I use a mag lug w/ washer?
