Default Question re Dynamic Pack for 2013 XKR

Considering the purchase of a 2013 XKR special edition convertible. Build sheet says performance exhaust and adds the Portfolio Pack. Was the dynamic pack (ie the upgrade to faster speed) included in the Portfolio Package or was there a separate option for the Dynamic Pack?

SE convertible? That's weird. Never heard of an SE with that "SE" moniker.
The 'speed pack' has the same 155 mph top speed. You'll need to get a XKR-175 or an XKR-S for a top speed increase.
The Dynamic Pack has the extra aero though, rockers, front and larger rear wing.

The dynamic pack includes all of the xkr-s performance enhancements, upgraded front suspension knockles, upgraded shocks, stiffer suspension, 1/2 lowered, upgraded transmission tune, speed aero kit (hence 174 speed limit), and speed limit increased to 174 except for the 550hp engine tune.

The xkr175 only had a speed aero body kit and speed limit increase; it included none of the other xkr-s performance enhancements, not even the performance exhaust. I had the xkr175 when it first came out and traded it for a 2013 xkr with thd dynamic pack. I then sold it and bought a 2014 xkr dynamic-R convertible and love it. My 2014 like my 2013 has a 174 speed limit and all of the performance enhancements of the xkr-s except for the increased engine tune.
If you have the dynamic pack you will have the speed pack, and your shocks will be yellow (belstein), same as xkr-s.

The Portfolio Pack is more of a trim level thing isn't it?

For the newbies ... the term "Portfolio" is different for 4.2L and 5.0L models.

For 4.2L 2008 and 2009, the XKR Portfolios were limited-production models with unique exterior paint, wheels, and interior trim. For 5.0L models, Portfolio was a package of options, not a limited production model.

Guess I'm a newbie. Either that, or I forgot everything.
I hate getting old. Seriously.

No worries. We're all getting older. There is only one alternative, and it's not good--death.

Today is the first day of tax season, which reminded me of an old joke: There are only two things that are required in one's lifetime - death and taxes ... and I don't know which one is worse!

My 2013 XKR vert has the Portfolio Pack which are all trim variations: 20" Orana Polished wheels, chrome mirror covers, chrome grille, door sill treadplates, Poltrana Frau Leather Header and Portfolio Interior Theme. In addition as a separate item it has the Performance Active Exhaust

As the Autocar article states, the Dynamic was the run-out model. Dynamic wasn't a pack available to earlier cars but the 75 special edition, which appears to have been a test for the XKR-S had the Dynamic suspension and more power too. The US 175 ndidn't have most of the technical upgrades of the European 75. If you just want the raised 174 mph speed limit with the Aero Pack and the associated stabilizing tweaks, you need the Speed Pack. The Black Pack was extra money for exchanging the silver wheel paint and trim for black - money for nothing really
