Default Rear Panel Peeled Off

So I have no idea what happened here, but in 1 day, I walk out to my car and notice the leather near where the seatbelt retracts is shriveled back and i see plywood. Where can I even start to get this fixed, any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Call Dan at “The Trim Shop” in Newark, Delaware. 302-454-1754. He’s very good and reasonably priced.

Thanks for the tip, I'll give them a call. Just out of curiosity has anyone else had this happen? Is it difficult to remove the rear panel? I've always heard about the dash coming apart not the side like this.

Holy crap!.... Is this the first the forum has seen this issue?

My first reaction is the car got waterlogged!

Is this a 'vert? Are you to only owner?

Curiouser and curiouser...

That’s a ‘vert alright, and I agree, looks like it got very wet and then dried up.

The left one was damaged when I bought the car. Couldn't find an upholstery shop that would touch it, so I found a replacement unit and went that route.

The culprit in this case was the sudden separation of the rear window from the glass on the drivers side, had an issue in the past on the passenger side, but the Rhino glue fix did its job, unfortunately this a new separation that must have occurred during a heavy downpour. I'm hoping a shop will have a go at this, as I'm not finding a whole ton of spare quarter panels outside of a dealer (who wants $2.7k for the job).
