Can anyone upload a color scan of their DVD cover insert? Preferably for a 2012+ disc set. My car only came with the DVD in the drive, and no case. So, I'm making one myself with a clear case that has a transparent sleeve. I thought it would be nice to print a copy of the factory insert so it appears authentic.
I personally need USA/Canada maps, but I'm sure others will appreciate having access to Europe case insert as well.
The map disk in your 2012 XKR is at least 7 years old. If you want to update it, the most current USA map disk for X150 models is from Volvo, not Jaguar. I have it in my 2009 XKR and it works great, notwithstanding the loss of the cool British bird's voice. For details, see:
When I updated from the first 2010 NAV disks to the then-new 2014 Jag disks, the "update" took away my Advanced Cruise Control ability to stop the car completely. Now (and ever since) the Cruise stops working completely at like 14 mph. Then the newer Volvo disks did add new maps, but like everyone else I lost the British Chick.

Cee Jay,
As you know, Adaptive Cruise Control became standard equipment with the 2010 XKR, and was optional for all other model years.
If your ACC brought your XKR to a complete stop it malfunctioned and was fixed by the Volvo disk. I suspect that the malfunction was actually to your memory and not to your ACC. No worries, it comes with the territory. Ask me how I know.
(My wife tells me. )
ACC does not enable the vehicle to decelerate automatically to a stop. It will automatically shut itself off below 18 mph.
When in doubt, Your ACC works as it was designed to function, no repairs needed.

Stuart
Be it a mechanical fault or an electrical fault, the car DID come to a complete stop by itself. My memory has zero to do with anything. I used it many, many times, mostly to show off to my passengers. After the 2014 or Volvo update it didn't do it any more.
It doesn't matter if you think my brains are mush or not, it did stop. Not DRASTICALLY by any means, but if the vehicle in front of me slowed normally, It'd slow normally right behind it. Right to a stop.

I have been trying to tell him that for years but he won't believe me either
It must have been the only 5 litre XK with adaptive cruise that does bring the car to a complete halt, unless someone else has one?
The adaptive cruise control module is a totally different one to the nav module so I don't see how updating the nav software would make any difference to the adaptive cruise.
All the other cars I have owned in the last few years have adaptive cruise that brings the car to a halt but my XKR definitely works as per the owners manual and workshop manual and cuts off with a loud ding and warning for the driver to take over control once it drops below a certain speed.
