Jag does the vented seats really well. On my Aston they make noise and some air comes out, but doesn't really "cool".

Happy Day! Just picked up my XKR and the paint work is exceptional. It looks as good as it did new. And since the hood, front bamper/fascia and front splitter, and hatch were also painted, it got rid of a lot of "sins" that had been there before. Looks like a new car! It's raining out right now or I would have snapped some pictures, but I'll do so later or tomorrow. It felt so good driving her again instead of the minivan. Happy Day!

I know it's a swear word, but what was your out-of-pocket, if you care to share?

cee jay,
I had no out of pocket as since I give so much business to this shop over the years, he waived the difference for my deductible and took care of some other issues at the same time. I submitted the claim through my insurance, Mercury, who had an adjuster at the shop within 24 hours and immediately put together an agreeable estimate to the shop which they approved. It's only been 2 1/2 weeks since the accident and my cat's home already, looking as good as new.

Hi Ralph,
Hopefully soon you and I can grab a lunch and a couple of well deserved beers. All the best to your family.

It's my wife's car. An XKR-S would be utterly wasted on her. And I have a couple of other toys to play with otherwise. But your market analysis feels sound at this point.

Ted, I'm happy that your weren't injured physically and your car was fixed. I'm hoping you can find video that shows the other driver was in the wrong and she pays for her sins. (let's face it, "thou shalt not hit a Jaguar" should be the 11th commandment).
Are there any pics you care to share?

Note that although one US owner is in Pennsylvania and the other is in Washington (State), the principles remain the same. Thanks Stuart. As you figured out, I didn't realise that a Pubic Appraiser was what you guys call a Loss Adjuster. Thing is, as you say, the advice is the same - in these circumstances you need a professional on your team. No regular guy can out-negotiate an insurance company - they do it for a living.
