We have 5 Samsung phones in our family of various models. I am "limping" to the end of my contract in three weeks so that I can get rid of all of them at month's end. Every one of them has had numerous parts break, features stop functioning, battery charges lasting less than 2 hours, impossible keyboards. About the only thing that works is the connection to the XKR's bluetooth. When I went into the Verizon store to start looking at new phones two days ago, my first comment to the sales person was, "Show me anything but a Samsung phone, I will not consider another Samsung product ever again!!!!"
My first cellphone, the one that you used to carry in a case the size of a car battery was far superior to the crap Samsung puts out. I'll admit I'm hard on phones as I use it a lot and on construction sites I'm constantly on the move, so even if there was an excuse for mine, my kids' phones are always breaking down and have all been replaced on numerous occasions.
I'd choose ANYTHING else!
Let's get together soon.

Ted - not sure what you guys are doing with your phones but, I have to say that my Samsung Galaxies over the years had zero issues. I've given my S4 to a close friend and still works great for her, far better than her old iPhone. Have the Note 4 right now and it connects to every one of my cars, including the '15 Stingray, and takes better pictures than my wife's dedicated camera. Just recently turned-on Verizon's HD Clear Voice feature which results in better phone call voice clarity as my landline. I am not wedded to any manufacturer when it comes to gadgets but, at these times am completely happy with the Samsung phones.

Ted - I have had a good run with the S4. Prior to getting the S4 I had three different Iphone 4s go bad on me. They all got corrupted and then would not stay connected to my 12 XK. When Apple advised me that I would be responsible for any additional replacements I switched to Samsung and have been happy ever since. By the way, I'm on A T & T.
I have a new Galaxy S6 edge coming next week. I will let you know how it goes.

I have now had the S6 Edge for 3 days. It syncs to the XK perfectly. And I am also able to sync the phonebook, tasks and calendar with my PC using their SmartSwitch application. I'm very pleased with it.
When I bought it I knew that you couldn't get to the insides. My S6 has 32 gigs of memory and currently shows 18.3 hours of battery life remaining on a 99% charge. The battery life per charge in the S4 was very poor. That is one of the main reasons I replaced it.

Stuart,
My Galaxy S3 is unquestionably the worst cellphone I have ever owned or used. I am counting down the last 16 days til my current contract ends so that I can toss it into the trash and get anything but a Samsung phone. You've had some incredibly good luck if it hasn't broken down and continues to operate properly. And battery life on my phone from a full charge is less than two hours.

During that time it says it has been used for 7 hours and 5 minutes and that is also with bluetooth, wi-fi and cellular data permanently enabled.
