Hi, I have searched for an answer to this so forgive me if it was there all along.
I now have a lovely snarling 2008 XK convertible to keep my XJ 6 company, but I am having trouble with the sat nav, the little icon always has a slash through it so I am guessing the antenna is not working or is disconnected. Problem is I cannot locate it! I think its supposed to be under the parcel shelf, should it be easily visible or is it hidden?

It's under the rear spoiler on the coupe so possibly the same on the convertibles. Its location means that it eventually gets water in it and is probably beyond saving. You can replace it with a more modern version which sits in the boot, takes 5 minutes to install and costs $25.

Several causes are possible including, but not limited to, a loose connection and a bad GPS antenna.
