Rev Sam,
Outside of the beauty of the X100, you certainly won't miss driving it in comparison to the X150R. I still have my 2002 XKR 'vert but I can't stand driving it. The bowl of jello jiggling, the sloppy handling, and the more effort required to drive it at speed are no match for an XKR coupe. And that shocking feeling you had when you stood on the pedal for the first time never gets old! You will also soon become addicted to using the paddle shifters, and the tranny is so much more responsive. I always enjoyed your posts on the X100 forum and look forward to seeing them on this forum as well. I have a liquied silver coupe as well, and while it wouldn't have been my first choice, the good news is that it almost never looks dirty, and by the way, you're already used to silver Jaguar XK models having come out of one. Good luck and happy driving. I'm approaching 160,000 miles on mine.

If the dealer knocked $1500 off the price of the car, you can bet your life it is not a low battery but something much more expensive. I can guarantee they ran a diagnostic on the car and decided it was not worth there time or their bank balance to fix it ad would rather just move the car off their lot.

You might be right. But I drove almost 1100 miles to get home. I discovered that the AC leaks into the passenger foot well. That's a common issue that I can fix. There's an issue with the parking sensors. And there's the E-diff problem, which doesn't affect the driveability of the car. So far the car has performed exactly like a nine year-old used car with 75,000 miles on it is expected to perform. It's not a museum piece, but it has already become my daily driver.

Sam, great to have you back in the fold, I am sure you will be able to sort all the problems as you learn your way around the car, you have a rep to live up to .
I still have an X100 myself but am looking forward to those new X150 videos.

Main question is what is going to be the new photo ? That X100 XK8 bird decal is going to be hard to beat/equal.

Yeah, I think those are weird tips also. It was the best actual picture that I could find. I was going to shop in some quads but didn't want to spend more than a couple minutes as it was.

That's Sam's original bird, but it only looked good where it is.

I am still here, but not as much as I used to be. Oh well. with a coupe you missed out on a free remote top kit for the X150 in exchange for a video
Thanks... Dennis? I might still remember your name. It's been a while and I'm pretty sure I have Alzheimers. I still feel bad about the video I did for you. It was probably one of my worst videos ever. However, it was always cool to walk away from the car, hit the button, and not look back as the top was closing behind me. I felt like the dude in the movies who is walking away from the explosion without looking back.

Actually its Steve (a.k.a TheJagWrangler), but Dennis (of pressure reduction resistor fame) is still around. Gus (of JagRepair.com - Jaguar Repair Information Resource) is also still around. A number others from those days also still hang out. I look back on those years on the X100 forum which you were a huge part of very fondly.

It ain't Alzheimers, back then I never used my real name. And that 'awful' video sold dozens of kits and inspired me to buy an X150 and do an enhanced X150 version which continues to be my most successful Jaguar product. Definitely not complaining!

I'm glad I was able to help. I just looked, that video has 12,413 views! I hope you got a few sales out of it. :-)

Needs t be driven at least 200 miles to pass all smog sensors. That's IF there's no bad juju in there.

Hey, Sam....of course I remember you. Hope you are doing well.

Ken
Mine usually takes about 65 miles and I'm GTG. Fact, I just did this about a week ago to get my registration sticker, as I reset everything trying to make my SDD work to disable TPMS. 60-mile round-trip to SLC for an unrelated appointment and then a round-about shortish trip to the inspection shop.
Got my sticker!
Course, I hadda reset AGAIN to make my TSD come back on, the emissions guys did? .... something??.....?
I dunno. It works now though.
