The spacers did it for your car too. Looks like it means business now. Great job!

The spacers alone will not effect the alignment. I knew that as a principle going into installing my spacers on my '08 XK and now on my new XF. In both cases I checked toe and camber before the spacer installation and checked again after. No change in either one of them, just as expected.

The XK spacers fit perfectly on the XF, except I reversed the application. 20mm on the back wheels, 15 for the front. Makes a significant difference in looks and handling.

The spacers where quite easy to install. Just slip them on and bolt them down with the lugs that come with them.

Regarding before and after...

Hey Evoking,

Did you ever change to the 20mm spacers in the front? I'm thinking about adding the spacers to my 175, 15mm rear and 20mm front. If you were to redo the spacers would you go with 20mm on the front?

They look good. I think I will order some as well.

To piggy back DGL's questions...looking at your front wheels, they do look like they could come out another 5mm, but I wonder if that would cause any interference with the wheels turning and such?

So, adding a 15mm spacer is pushing the wheel out, effectively *reducing* the positive offset of the original (for our 2010+ XK/R's) from 46 to 31 for the rear. The front goes from a positive offset of 49 to 34.

This jives with my experience of putting the aftermarket Senta's on which do not work on the 2010+ XK/R's. The Senta rears had an offset of 29 and I had slight rubbing on the edge of the tire. The 31mm positive offset should be just enough clearance to not hit the edge of the fender with wheel travel.

Default spacers warning

Looks like I'm out on the spacers. Came across another 175 owner who experienced some problems:

Any easy solution to this problem? The 175 rims must be the issue. I'm not going to change them.

Anyone try mounting wider tires?

HIs problem is really NOT a problem. In my case, I used the very same 15mm and 20mm H&R spacers on both my XK and my XF and they work fine. The XF had enough wheel indent to accommodate the stock bolts that stick through the spacers. In the case of the XK, the 20mm fronts installed fine but, I did have to cut a few mm off the leading, non-threaded portion of the factory lug bolts at the rear with the 15mm spacers. Took me about 20 seconds each with a high speed wheel cutter. It is still a far less expensive proposition that purchasing new wheels in order to bring the tires flush with the fender.

The cars look and handle better with the new tires spacing.

As axr6 says, it's not the wheel. I would have the same issue most probably using 15mm spacers.

Where is everyone getting the spacers from - what site online are you buying them from?

cutting off 2mm on the end of the stud does not affect the structural purpose of the stud. The tip of the stud has no threads and removing that portion does not weaken the stud or prevent it from being used as it normally would if you remove the spacer. It really is not a big deal.

Shorter than 15mm and then you would have to replace the original studs, which would be a big deal...

Well my wife thinks it looks cool, so I guess I'm gonna have to do this now. (Don't want her running off to Texas. )

I guess I'm back in (sounds like a minor issue). I'll cut the non-threaded part of the existing studs with a grinder. I'll use 20mm spacers for the front.

Anyone know what the H & R part number is for the 20mm spacers? Is it the same part number used on the 2004-2007 XKR's?

I'll be ordering my spacers from a supplier in Ontario, Canada.

Guys, NO cutting is required with the Nevis wheels. I know Foggy as he lives 2 miles from me. When I got my spacers I went to his house to put them on and low and behold NO cutting needed. The Nevis wheels have the indentions whereas the 175 wheels did not.

Regarding the front yes they could come out more. But I am ordering a set of custom wheels so won't jack with it.

rscultho, I believe the rears start at +31 not 46. So the spacers bring it down to 16. As a matter of fact, I think it was one of YOUR posts that confirmed the 31 rear offset ;-)

Here are the numbers for the 20mm. This is where I ordered mine from.

H&R Wheel Spacers For Jaguar Cabrio 2007-up 20mm (4035633)

I do have a set of extra 20mm that I initially mounted on the back and later replaced with 15mm but, not sure if it would be worthwhile to ship it to Canada from CA.

I took my Nevis wheels off and looked at the offset stamped on them...the rears were stamped with +46 and the front was stamped with +49...

The 2007 - 09 XK/R's have +49 front and +29 rear. So the Hub on the 07-09 is farther in than the 2010+

But thanks for the feedback on not needing to cut the studs on the Nevis wheels! That is great...

I put on the H&R spacers...15mm. I torqued the spacers to 92 ft-lbs as the instructions say to torque them the same amount as the wheel lug nuts.

The instructions say to re-torque after 60 miles.

Did you guys do that?

I torqued them to 90 lbs, as I tend to do with all my cars. But, admit to be lazy again, I have not re-torqued them since. I really do not see the point to do so but, likely would not hurt for the state of mind.
