Have an issue with the damper, see attached photo there wsi something coming out looks like old honey.... Can that only be the mount ring, that is leaking and what is it ?
Thx Magnus And many thx to the folks running this forum....
It's shot either way and needs replacing. The shock absorber doesn't typically leak from the top, but I guess anything is possible. Removal is a bit of a pain and unless you're experienced in compressing springs, best use a shop.
Since that time, another member posted doing his with a set of parts he got from ebay for less than $50! Which means I spent $300 too much! I’ll have to look for that post…

@fritzthecat,
a bit of clarity here, I believe, based on jaguar parts manual and other's comments, that the mounts are exactly the same for the convertible and coupe.
Further, these mounts are also correct for the front and rear struts.
I have not replaced my rears as yet but do have a set waiting for the time I get inspired.

shows C2P23038 for the convertible and C2D51875 for the coupe. I believe you, since you’ve done the job yourself and it worked. But if the online parts catalog is wrong, what else is it wrong about?
