Default Thos who have drag raced your Jags lots of questions..

Does turning off the traction control disable it or just merely reduces its effect?
Is there a way to disable it compltely?
Does the ABS interfere with heating up the tires (doing a burnout) ?
I plan on taking mine in a couple weeks when weather cools down ,
I plan to run MT 275/40/17 drag radials on the back using adapters to mount my Mustang race wheels.
(putting them on at track, not driving on the street )
They require a decent burnout to get best grip,,on my Mustang I had
to pull the abs fuse or it wouldnt let me do a true burnout,in the Mustang the abs computer
is tied into the traction control system which can be turned off but in reality
it only lessens it not turns it off completely.
I have also read on here of people getting reduced power warning when running slightly smaller rear tires.
The above drag tires are roughly 3% smaller than the stock ones, will this be a problem?
If so will pulling abs fuse cure this and will pulling abs fuse cause reduce power or just give a warning light?
Thanks for any help you can give.
Frank G.

Yes DSC has 3 modes - ON, TRAC & OFF - press and hold the button until the OFF message appears in the message centre.

Jahummer
nope,,doesnt work on mine,, have tried it a bunch of times both quickly pressing or holding it down for 10+ seconds,,
I have even sat there and held it down for almost a minute,,no "off" ever appears.
only two positions I can bring up are ON or TRAC,,

Actually, I think the car handles better with it in ‘off’... of course, you need to know how to drive... or you’ll find yourself spun about.

My advise would be to start saving for a new differential, if you can even find one. You will need it pretty soon when running slicks. Your car definitely does have the DSC off feature.

As long as you can work out how to switch traction control of totally you shouldn't have any issues doing a burnout
