Call around. That's high. I've never paid even half of that; even when I was 23 with a 2000 XKR it was like 450 (in 2011). I've had Frankenmuth, Citizens and Progressive. I just got renewal from progressive and it's 985 for all 3 Jaguars with full coverage and I'm a 32F in West MI.

Just talked to Hagerty agent to go over everything. Quote is $1105/year, 4000miles/year, $40,000 agreed value, matching the coverage with Allstate for my other 2 cars.
For NY, it's not bad, and now quite lower than my 16 XJ premium.
I found Hagerty to be a bit higher than Grundy for their limited use age policy but with an agreed upon value of 25k 08 XKR Port. Does Hagerty cover the windshield?
Comparing what Forum member pay for insurance is like a dog chasing his tail. He goes around in circles but doesn't really get anywhere. We're all very different from each other; we live in different states, are different ages, have different driving and claims records, and different FICO credit scores. Even if you and your next door neighbor are the same age and drive identical cars covered by identical policies from the same insurance company, your premiums won't be the same.
Here's why:
This thread is just clickbait for bragging rights. There's nothing wrong with that. Just understand why premiums vary.

Reason: Corrected typo
Thanks to Jaguar being seen as a geriatric brand, cost of insuring my F-type are comparable to generic cars and much less than Mercedes SL I had before.
So the actual cost of the car is not nearly as important for setting your comprehensive insurance rate than nation rate on thefts and accidents for that model/brand.

Yep, beyond good insurance rates, its an additional bargain to create separation from jerks, punks, and entitled knobs who gravitate towards Audi and BMW.
