Default Touch Screen Questions

So I test drove a 2007 XK last week. Fantastic car! I have a couple of questions though:

1. I noticed the touch screen seemed a bit dim in bright sunlight. Has anyone else ran into this and is there a adjustment or fix?
2. Is the built in GPS system "Turn by Turn" and does it use actual street names the way most modern aftermarket GPS systems do?

Thanks!

I have a 2007 Convertible. I have never had any issues with the brightness of the screen. The GPA does give streets and works very nicely.

I love my car, just wish these Jags had better resale values. They do depreciate quickly. I had owned 2 Porsches before this and did very well on resale.

I agree, my screen washes out in direct sunlight

for turn-by-turn , do you mean the voice guidance? Mine just says 'Turn right' and gives a distance , not 'Turn right onto 1st Street'

The touch screen has multiple color settings and brightness levels. It probably needs to be adjusted to your liking. No street names but a very nice female brittish voice guides you along the way also turn instructions both on the screen and in the display between the tach and speedo

Thanks for the info all. Geez, you would think the GPS in a $95,000.00 sports car would have at least as many features as my $300.00 Garmin Nuvi...
