Does my XK 2011 have the tire pressure monitoring system TPMS or not? I.e. was this an option for these cars or standard? And if it was optional, how can I find out if I actually have it installed?

Thanks!

It is standard equipment mandated by federal law in the US. If you want to see if it works either go to a tire dealer and ask them to read your tires or you could let air out of 1 of your tires and then start the car up. It will tell you what tire is low. .
It was optional at first, at least on the 4.2 cars, and was made mandatory in EU in 2012 I think?
Register for TOPIx (free) and look up (with the VIN) which features your vehicle left the factory with. I did that for mine, and it listed "TYRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTM".
Alternatively; go on a service station, leave the car running, and let out air from a tire. That should trigger it, I've tried it when trying to find out how small a drop it reacts to.
Easiest way is to look up behind the rear wheels in the wheel well from the muffler side and see if you have the little paddle looking antennas mounted.
The OP didn't say where he's from so I checked his Personal Profile, which indicates that he's from CH.
I assumed that it is logical for CH to be the abbreviation for China. Because any assumption can make an *** out of U and ME, I Googled "country abbreviation CH". I'm glad I did because CH is Switzerland! Hmmm ... what sense does that make?
If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with bull$h@t!

Yeah, The data code for Switzerland, CH, is derived from Latin Confoederatio Helvetica (English: Helvetic Confederation).
Say "Japan" to anyone in Japan and they will look at you like you're an idiot. Japan is actually named "Nippon".
I seriously don't know why the English Speakers decide to call a NAMED place whatever they want, it's usually NOT the name they use. Hundreds of examples, just pick a country (usually)
