Default uh oh...coolant down

I checked this morning and the coolant was about 1/4 inch below the minimum marker. I refilled but this is the second time I've had to add fluid since buying the car in July. I know the water pump was replaced in January of 2016. Not sure if they also replaced the plastic parts everyone complains about. I guess I had better get it in to the indy.

You are totally screwed, you'd best give the car to me.

Try not to get to paranoid. The key is where is the level with regards to the max/min marks on the tank. It will vary to some degree within those marks so before you take it in monitor it for a few drives. Now if it was above the min line and it is now below that line you need to start looking to see if you have a problem.

I've been having to add about 10oz per week and I can see dried coolant under the pump. I just ordered the pump and plastic hoses. Should be in today actually. Check with your indy what part number pump they will use, or check with Jag so you get the latest pump in.

In may when I asked my dealer, they said that C2Z31587 was the latest pump and it does not leak. BUT When I ordered the pump from a Jag dealer in NJ (at half the price my dealer wanted!), that part was replaced with AJ813909. I can't keep up.... Nonetheless, I should have the pump in by next weekend.

I'd just keep an eye on it for now. An indy isn't going to find the problem if it's only losing a little over a long time.

I check mine weekly when I fuel up so hopefully I'll know when the next big leak is about to spring.

After a cold soak, preferably overnight, pressurise the system with a tester to 1 bar. If the pressure begins to drop, look for leaks around hose couplings, at the water pump and around the radiator.

To be clear, when cold, the level should be somewhere in between Min and Max, right?
