Unable to pair the bovee 1000 to my 2010 jaguar xk
I ordered the Bovee 1000 specifically for my 2010 Jaguar XK. My phone is an iphone SE, less than 2 years old. After following the instructions, I am unable to pair the Bovee to my car. I see the Bovee 1000 with the bluetooth on and when I press it, it sometimes asks for the code 0000 and when I press, it willl not pair. Sometimes it doesn't ask for it and won't pair. I tried the chord it came with and also the chord the Jaguar came with. No help. I specifically ordered the Bovee for my 2010 Jaguar. On the box it reads compatible with Audi, Mercedes, and Volkswagen. On the box for music Device compatibility, it reads iphone 4, 4S, iphone 5 ipod touch and ipad 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Generations. My phone is a much newer iphone se. Also, why does the box read for Audi, Mercedes and Volkswagen when I ordered for a Jaguar? Did they send me the wrong Bovee 1000 or are they all the same? All I know is that it does not pair. Am I doing something wrong? Before I send it back, I'd like to know as I thought it was simply plug and play. I don't believe it's a case of downloading a song because I am not even able to pair the Bovee. Thanks all.
sounds like you got the wrong one, I have one in my 2009 and it works really well although its way easier to choose music via my iPhone than the jag interface. thats a nightmare so sometimes I can skip songs with the steering wheel and sometimes I can't, I never know why. volume of course via steering wheel works. I have the iPhone to about 90% and the rest the jag volume. I think though you got the wrong Bove sent. should be Jag and maybe Landrover but I think mine just said jaguar .. GL that sucks its so frustrating
Sorry to be clearer yes its plug into the iPhone adapter in the centre console. then it will show a blue light I think. then you find on your iPhone and hit pair. you only need to pair once and then everytime you get in the car it recongnizess in seconds. Its simple so if not doing it easily I think its the wrong one. They do not universally work. Audi has a different interface MMDi

I did get it to pair. Now, I don't get any music out of it. Do I need to purchase and download a song to get the music to come on? It does pair every time I get in and out of the car and even when I disconnect and reconnect the cable it will automatically pair to the Bovee. Why NO MUSIC? What am I doing wrong? Thanks all.

I purchased a song on I tunes at the itunes store. Still not playing. Do I need to get the song to my music library somehow? Do I need to purchase the song at the Apple store? I'm not sure how to get Bovee to recognize that I did purchase the song and where the song should be put on my phone? Thanks all. I'm so technologically inept! Gheeze

Yes, It shows the song playing, Bovee is shown as connected, The Bovee light is on, but no music coming out of my speakers....I purchased a new song on I Tunes but I am not sure it is showing on my phone where it should be... It shows in my music library under songs...when I press on the purchased song it won't play through the speakers... What am I doing wrong? Is the song in the wrong place on my phone?
I had already downloaded a song to my Music Library before posting, and it still would not generate music out of my car speakers. I read a number of reviews with others having the same problem. After numerous attempts, I returned the Bovee.

Just bump to the Mr12V. I’ll put it in for ya when I take the road trip down.
Of you have iPod enabled, you don’t even need an SDD tweak.
I use the Airdual Invery for Jaguar Land Rover. On Amazon now for $73. It Has the 30 pin harness. It's a little spotty in that oftentimes it links to my android phone and it is playing music from spotify immediately on starting the car. Sometimes it does not, but will start playing on its own a couple minutes later, sometimes sooner, sometimes not at all. When it doesn't start, I open spotify and it starts playing. Sometimes it goes into a 2 song loop and I will then manually advance the track with the phone and it works well. The player has aptdx hd capability, if your phone has the same, the sound quality is better than expected. Remember, we're asking for new and old tech to play together. In all, I like it.
