Can I stream Pandora in my 2010 XK Via cord and still be able to use my phone via Bluetooth? Is there anyway to get Bluetooth Pandora with out a cord or with an additional device or is our system too old? Will my phone charge while I’m using Pandora? Thanks all.

Definitely no Bluetooth streaming without additional hardware. The car’s native Bluetooth is for phone calls only. Not sure about the wired connection, as I don’t have the USB/iPod module you have in your car.
Yes it will charge even whilst in use but the power’s so low it will charge very slowly. Mine pauses when a call comes in. The X150 never had wireless streaming but many members here have had good experiences with the Bovee wireless adapter for Jag. Then there’re who’ve fitted various aftermarket infotainment systems.

. I want whatever is easiest without mods and I can play some music other than radio and Paleozoic CDs. Is the Bovee a good option? Anything complicated? Plug and play?
I’m also going to need a strong phone holder in lieu of my useless navigation.
I use the Inverny and it works perfectly. But, it is only for music.
My bluetooth is for phone use only.
I also have a USB port that I only use for charging my phone. I wish that afforded a hard-wired pathway for music. So far, I haven't learned it can be used that way.

The EASIEST way is to put a whole bunch of your music, or wherever you can download or get from anywhere or anyone's music files in .mp3, and put them on a USB memory stick and slap that sucker into the USB slot in the armrest. Put into folders if that's the way you like, or just shuffle the whole schmear.

Believe it or not, I have an antique Ipod Shuffle with over 200 songs that I put together with I Tunes....but now that I tunes is no longer...I am unable to add additional songs that I like. Besides it's a job. I have burned cds over the years and even those I have gotten tired of and keep rotating them over and over. That's why I like Pandora, as it introduces songs I wouldn't necessarily collect. I saw the Bovee wireless adapter mentioned earlier on You Tube for bluetooth use of music on my phone, which sounds like it might work, but I also will need my phone for navigation as the XK is also in the prehistoric age with Nav.....So many technological disadvantages in driving a beautiful high maintenance every day car! I've been eyeing a 2025 Lexus IS 350 F Sport for a daily driver but certainly don't need 2 cars since I only have a one car garage. PS. Can anyone recommend an IPhone car holder for the XK? I prefer nothing that attaches to the vents but secures elsewhere for Nav use for the most part.

I use an old iPod nano. I'm on Windows and use a program called "Apple Devices" which you can get from Apple to synch new music to older iPods. It has all the synch features that use to be in iTunes before Apple tried to force people into streaming with the abomination of a program they call iMusic.

Thanks for the imput...However, my ipod shuffle is so old that it doesn't hold a charge for much more than a couple of days before needing recharging. I would need a new version with the ability to hold more songs and mine I believe has the smallest capacity. Besides, it has that small pin hole attachment and I wouldn't know how exactly it would conform to the XKs configuration. I do have all those multipin cords that came with the car. The thumb drive idea could work, but I would need to get my older songs on it and/or download songs all over again.....Thus, my idea of Pandora
@bocatrip See my posts in this old thread as to how I connected my old iPod Nano together with a Scosche adapter to simultaneously charge and play all my favorite songs using the steering wheel controls and the touchscreen. It still works great today, and is living happily ever after in the cubby under my armrest. Sure, it's not the latest and greatest, but it still gets the job done for me. https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...nano-6g-50122/

When you say "mine pauses when a call comes in".....what is mine? Bovee? It would be useless if I couldn't get phone calls while using it. Also, I'd have to find out if it will work with Pandora. Thanks Jahummer

Will the music pause when a phone call comes in? Do any of the steering wheel controls work for skipping a song, volume, etc? I see Inverny for Jags and Range Rovers. Does your 2012 have anything that's more adaptable for this device than my 2010? Thanks again.
@bocatrip , when I purchased my XKR last November, I also had to figure out how to upgrade it for Bluetooth streaming. Although my car has the USB/iPod input, I have an Android phone so cannot speak to the iPod adapter methods others have mentioned. My research into Bluetooth upgrades ultimately led me to enable AUX input and install a Bluetooth adapter; however, because that path took a few months to come together, I temporarily used one of the easiest ways to stream - a Bluetooth FM transmitter. The sound quality does suffer as it is no better than FM radio, but it is very simple and inexpensive. I selected the Nulaxy FM transmitter pictured below because it can be plugged into the glove box’s 12v socket, it has a fast-charging USB port, and its cord allows adjustments from the driver’s seat - then the unit could be hidden in the glove box. It simply automatically connects to your phone when the ignition is turned on.
I have now upgraded to a Bluetooth adapter and enjoy the superior sound quality. The adapter I chose allows use of steering-wheel buttons for pause/track-forward/track-backward and provides very high-quality sound from its aptX LL codecs. To go this path, you will need to enable AUX input using SDD software. Installing the adapter is a fairly easy DIY project.

Regarding a phone holder, I use one from eBay that attaches with a spring clip to the dash surrounding the speedometer. I chose this holder because it gets the phone’s navigation up near my line-of-sight so I don’t have to look down at the infotainment screen. For keeping the phone charged, I ran a cord from the glove box’s power socket, down between the infotainment unit and ashtray, and out the trim piece below the aspirator as seen in the picture below (not the visible, coiled cord as that's for the radar detector).

I've got the Jag Apple integration which comes with the 2010-2015s. Last supported iphone is the 14PRO. I only use Apple music. I previously had the ACM fitted by the main dealer and Pandora worked then. I assume the Bovee will work with any streaming services on your phone.
