Very interesting! Was aware of Indy cars and speedway bikes on alcohol. Very high engine performance.
But E85 was hard on alcohol intolerant road car components except Flex fuel cars so personally never considered it. And I don't think it is available locally anyway. Please keep us posted on your higher performance pursuit.

Thanks, I love the persuit of power ! If you follow my threads ,I have one of the highest dyno 4.2 sc xkr cars around as well as fastest 0-60 and 1/8 mi times, also just finished tuning the fastest 5.0 XFR on the world recently , so far at 11.4 but likely it will be even lower than that soon

You can go quite far with stock injectors, but next step could be Bosch EV14 49mm 630cc @3bar., 0280158298

Thank you! How about the capability of the stock fuel pump?

I am not very familiar with 4.2 single pomp ( returnless fuelling system), but what I know from 4.2 TS installs, the pump has some limitations and you can not control the duel pressure. I have rails from 4.2 but the have modded with return line and 2 x 255 Walbro. KB Boost-A-Pump can be used to increase pump capacity at WOT. My injectors are quite big ones... But big airpump needs a lot of fuel 😎 E85.

I tried testing the capability of the stock injectors and I think they are running out of room at 34% ethanol mixture. I can control the fuel pressure in the ECU but it appears they adjusts on demand per AFR requirements anyway or I'm misunderstanding on how it works. I have seen it as high as 75 psi at wide open throttle and at around 44 PSI at idle.

Idle = base pressure - vacuum
Wot = base pressure + boost

Expecting better results at the drag strip. Dragy was used on the back streets . If you're not familiar dragy is dead on accurate uses 10 GHz gps device for measurements simalar to Race Logic.

I guess I have to look into that more , but I can't be making 31psi of boost so I wonder how that works

so these times are technically unofficial ..a back road in the middle of no where does not make this officially the fastest xfr that can't be claimed- please get it to a drag strip (don't take this the wrong way)

Steve I got nothing to prove to you I can tell you this though , I go drag racing regularly And most of my buddies have Draggy devices as well and Track time slips are always nearly identical to Dragy time slips down to hundreds of a second. By the way most magazines use these sort of GPS devices for testing and not the actual track slips.

Base pressure for 4.2 is 55PSI, so you have 11PSI vacuum and 20PSI boost if those readings are right.

Anyway, there was a 50shot of cheating, so thats not a "fastest" car, it's a cheating car

There is no way I have 20psi of boost more like 11- 12, so I wonder how that works out
