Does Jag really do the electronics themselves? I have a feeling they sub it out... the sub just sucks!

 

To the best of my knowledge, Jaguar subs out the cell phone help and information, check it out by following the prompts on the Jaguar website. They send you off site to a third party's site. Therefore, I think the whole thing is subbed out.

 

iPhone 4 works fine in my MY2011 - will let you know soon if iPhone 6 works

If it doesn't, I'll just keep the 4 as an iPod for the car.

 

Have successfully paired and used iPhone 4, 4S, 5 and 5S with a 2007 XKR. Standard MIC was awful until replaced by Jaguar under warranty (TSB). Also complete success with the iPhone 5S on a 2012 XKR-S, no MIC issues. I have never had any pairing or phone issues with either Jag.

Audio over the standard iPhone cable on the 2012 (not available on the 2007) has been a different story though. Only works reliably with Apple apps but takes a little trial and error each time.

Just purchased an '07 XK Convertible but having issues with pairing the phone. When you tap the "Phone" menu button, the screen goes immediately to "Want to find a phone" and not the settings menu that is discussed in the manual. In reading this thread it sounds like there could be updates to the audio system by a dealer? Is that correct or does someone know the trick to reset the phone settings?

2008 XKR paired with my Galaxy Note 2 with not problems... Like the way that BMW does it better. It'll sync contact music and other media from the Samsung phones....

 

Jaguar should let Land Rover do the Bluetooth; they do a much better job with phone syncing.

 

Anyone get the iphone 6?
