Got inspired of another member that fit a homemade meter in ashtray with nice besel.

Found a small oilpressure and watertemp meter that I fitted in ashtray

I'd love an electro/mechanical oil gauge. Do I remember correctly that we don't have available an oil pressure OBD2 out?

Yes , u are right, but i checked out the tool jaguar have to check oilpressure ,,” filtercap with hose”

did the same as them but just angeled the first connection on cap to fit under the bonnet. Works fine.

I did not pick that up,, just checked out the tool jaguar using to check oilpressure. Mine is a regular oilfilter cap with a drilled hole an threaded 1/8 npf and a flat nut on inside. And some thread sealer just in case 😀

I just used a 45 degree angle brass 1/8 np male female and on that a 25 d male female and then pressure sensor on that

sorry for bad spelling. Im better on doing things 😃

Clever! Looks like you might need to remove the sensor to change the filter? Or does it clear the surrounding stuff?

thanks. Yes and no,, there is two sort of tools,, the old one with chain or metal band works fine.
I use the one with metal band. the newer one that fits like a socket on top I tested and u have to remove the sensor only,, the one I tested was deep enough to swallow the rest

Where in the firewall did you drill through? Or did you use an existing hole in the firewall?
