What did you do to your X150 today?
While I agree, how many people actually ever need the spare? I’ve only used a spare once in my life.
I’m guessing 90% or more, never have a flat on the road requiring a tire change. So sounds like a logical space and cost savings for the manufacturer, since few (except us) will complain about it not being there.

How many actually stick with run flats when the first set wear out (or before)? Stiffer ride, higher cost.

I thought Steve gave up on that awhile ago since there are so many other work-arounds.

How was installation? I need to replace mine as the high beam has a tendancy to activate when putting on turn signals
Now that I’ve retired, I hope to get some time this year to update my mods, pull out the inactivated ACM, install the newer iPod module (sitting in a box), change over to the integrated backup camera method that jahummer posted about long ago, change the fog lights, … and the list goes on…
EDIT: Updated the signature!

I know that most luxury brands enjoy high lease penetration and those cars get replacement run flats since the lessee is required to and the dealer needs them to meet cpo requirements. Maybe more than you think…
Trunk with subwoofer
Replaced all six loudspeakers (standard system) with new good quality speakers and installed an Alpine PWD-X5, a combined subwoofer, 4 channel amplifier and digital sound processor which I found to be a good upgrade for our cars. It is designed to fit under the seat, but there is not enough room in the XK, so I made a little shelf and put it in the trunk. It has high level input so it can be connected directly to the existing speaker cables, no need to take out the existing amplifier, but also a bluetooth dongle so you can play directly from the phone. A dramatic improvement of the sound quality.
Next job will be to replace the rear muffler box with Supersprint Sport units that I hope will arrive soon.
Requiring a tow, or even waiting on Roadside Assistance is a major inconvenience compared to having a spare. I'll keep mine, thanks. And like gctippett, I've changed many a flat out on the side of the road myself. Last time was a few years ago in a hospital parking lot on my wife's Lexus. She had already called for assistance before she called me. I said 'baloney' or something akin, then drove the two miles, changed the spare over, then called to cancel the assistance and it was STILL a two-hour wait time until it would have arrived to help her.
No, I'll not ever not have a spare if I can help it.

All this talk of towing, roadside assistance, spares...must be cosmic.
While driving back from a work trip, I hit a pothole that destroyed the passenger-side tires. Had to limp to the side of the road. I dutifully grabbed the lug wrench and walked to survey the damage. I thought I only lost one tire and was shocked to realize I lost them both. I put the wrench away since I only had the one spare. I limped off the highway and lucky for me the local Walmart auto department was still open. After meeting several other folks that hit the same pothole and commiserating...I tried to see if the one wheel would hold air. Nothing doing. Three hours later the flatbed truck was depositing me in my alleyway.
I spent all day today destroying lug nut caps to get the lug nuts off. Wheels are dropped off ready for some new rubber and the car is on jack stands.
What great 24 hours. Oh wait, now I need to order some new lug nuts. No way these are going back on.

I also hit a rather large pothole and bent a rim. I called the city where it happened and they gave me $75 to get it fixed. The hole was filled two days later.
I hit one on a rainy night, bent the rim and put a bubble in the sidewall. Contacted the city, they said it was a state highway. Filed a claim with the state, they basically said I was SOL as they had already fixed the road.
Fits and clips into existing slot
Easy upgrade
Direct replacement and fits into existing electrical harness. Took less than 1 minute to install on both sides. Plug and play.

These would be fun if you could change that from Jaguar to Port and Starboard. You know, just to stay in practice and have fun at the same time.
