Default What fasteners are required for dynamic pack parts?

Can anyone comment on what hardware is required to properly install the dynamic pack front/rear splitters? I was speaking with the owner of Cotswold Automotive Parts, which is where I sourced my front splitter from, and he mentioned needing longer bolts to fasten the front splitter. I don't see anything listed on parts diagrams, so I'm hoping that forum members with experience installing/repairing these pieces themselves can comment.

For the rear dynamic pack splitter (Not the CF 3 piece... but a full ABS wrap-around rear splitter without the 3 diffuser vanes, are speed nuts required? Can I simply re-use the hardware from the XKR small center valence?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks very much.

No idea about the rear but the front is in 3 pieces, the centre piece uses two 10mm (IIRC) headed bolts (with built in washers), the side uses one 10 mm bold on the outer edge and is screwed to the middle piece using a self tapping screw.

There is a generous amount of mastic involved too.

I only know as I hit a curb and dislodged mine and it was a complete nightmare to reattach

I don’t have the rear diffuser but my 2010 front splitter has 7 - T-27 x 6mm x 1 1/4” long bolt/washers and 4 course screws that are about 1/2” long plus the thin line of double-sided tape that runs along the inside edge...

This description doesn't match what the parts look like...

So, looks like the 2010-2011 front splitter requires 7x T25 M6x30mm and 4x unknown size coarse thread screws (2x for the joints, and 2x for the ends of the side pieces).

I'll call the dealer and confirm what the 2012+ uses.

It appears that the MY2012+ cars have a different part:

Older cars: https://www.jaguar-shop.com/Speed-Pack-front-spoiler

I can't find anything on the mounting materials pack though

Just a glimps here: https://www.ebay.de/i/173972387778?c...iABEgKmJ_D_BwE

Correct, Although the head of the bolt is less important than the thread size and length, if that makes sense.... Also the screws you want something that won't rust like these stainless screws, if possible and it looks like they are 3/4" long... I have an entire bag of these stainless screws if you want 4, not that you can't get them at any hardware store...

Now I only have to find out if the 2012+ splitter uses the same hardware as the 2010-2011 splitter. Thanks very much for the photos... will surely help a member in the future.

Traxtar, the pic you posted in post #4 looks like the front splitter for a MY10-11, if you have a MY12 I don't think that is the correct splitter... PM forum member Simon Tan he went through similar situation because he ordered front splitter online and it did not fit his MY 12+, I do believe he ended up ordering the correct splitter and might be able to tell you if hardware was the same...

Ask your local Jaguar dealer for the name of the body shop that is Jaguar-approved to repair the alloy-bodied X150. That body shop should be able to help, since they have access to the repair and parts manuals.

Alternatively, improvise and use 3M double-sided automotive tape and bolts/nuts that will fit.

Here's the source vehicle:

I will say this... the splitter has a raised MY 12 on it, and Steve at Cotswold said the following just now: "The splitters are very similar but the one you have came off the 2012 XKR dynamic I have advertised on eBay. Please send me the “C2P” part numbers embossed on the 3 mouldings and I’ll check again?"

So... a dry fitment tonight will confirm if the splitter is correct or not... But I believe it is.

Yes they are very similar, if it has a raised MY12 on it, it's the right one... Mine had a raised MY10 on it... You can see the difference if you could see it from the front angle, the side pieces on MY10-11 turn up more like 90 degrees where the MY12+ has less of an angle, just gradually moving upward... But all the holes in the pic look like they would be similar hardware...

I think that we have the front valence figured out... I have some stainless M6x25 hex head bolts I will try to dry fit.

As far as the rear valence... anyone have ideas? Here's a thread about the rear valence:

So my Jaguar parts guy said his system shows 4x Valence Panel Nuts (XR824713), and 7x valence panel rivets (C2P23652) on the XKR-S parts diagram, but nothing on the XKR diagram

https://www.jaguarmerriamparts.com/v...omponents-rear

However, I think those are specific to the carbon fiber part.

You can see here, 7 small holes where it would 'rivet' to the bumper, and 4 tabs that are likely for the valence panel nuts:

I was able to get photos from someone selling a dynamic pack rear bumper, which I found quite interesting...

If you look at the valance photos, there are a series of flat pads molded into the plastic, that correspond to screws in the photos of the bumper:

I'm still not sure if there is a speed nut or similar that the screws would attach to, or if it's just through holes in the bumper and the screws are threaded straight into the plastic. Either way, looks like no clips or adhesive are used to attach the rear valance/splitter.

The burnt-orange tapes in the photos appear to be the protective backing for adhesive strips.
And yeah, I'd assume some sort of self-tapping screws to grab the pads through the bumper holes. One would need to take care as to not strip those out being over zealous.

That's correct. The leading edge of the valance has pre-stuck 3M double sided adhesive. Similar to the rear spoiler and front 3-piece splitter.

This is the first I've seen of screws tapping into plastic with no additional fastener. However, looking at the screw heads in the photos, they are phillips button head round washer screws, which are normally coarse thread and go into a speed nut or similar. I suppose for this application, it's direct into plastic. Not sure if anyone has had the valance off for repairs and can comment anything additional.
