Default White screen pop ups

When you turn down volume or change stations, there is a white screen with the volume bars that pops up, etc. Is there any way to turn that off?

Push the Volume knob in once, you will never see that screen again.
Other than that, no there isn't.

Found this out last night after the screen wouldn't dim. First press put the clock up, 2nd push turned off the display. Third push brought up the menus again.

The volume knob did that? On mine, when I push the Power Button below the screen (2 in the pic), to the left of the Four-Way button, which is left of the HOME button. That power button toggles through the chosen screen saver (mine's set on the XK Silhouette Contour Drawing), OFF, and the HOME Screen.

Right ^^^

Pressing the volume knob will shut off the stereo, hence disabling the popups. Nice one Cee Jay

They should have given you just a straight line.

Yours is actually what we have too.
The ones posted were just general images of silhouette.
