Jaguar OEM's and have them chromed. They got the designs right from the beginning IMO.

I happen to agree with you on the OEM rims. I love the Kalimnos 20", but can't see going for that much money and having to get new tires as well.

Because your 2008 XKR Portfolio has Alcon brakes, you'll have a very hard time finding aftermarket wheels that will fit. Richzak started a thread on this and after a lot of work was able to have Braelin wheels custom made. They offer 2 styles that will fit without spacers. Search this forum for details. They're cast, not forged and cost around $1,600 a set as I recall in painted finishes. Here's the links to Richzak's threads:

Another possibility is the OEM Jaguar forged "Vortex" wheel from the UK-only 2008 XKR-S that will fit with no spacers but you'd have to import it and they're rare and very expensive, probably around $4K delivered.

You'll probably have to have them chrome-plated or PVD-coated after you get them. Think twice before you do so since curb rash repair is expensive and requires redoing the entire wheel not just the damaged area.

They were sold elsewhere in Europe too, but you're right abut them being rare & expensive:
