I installed the Jaguar Aux Audio kit in my 07 last year. I just last night got a Bovee 1000 unit and plugged it into the 30pin connector. I have a 2020 model iPhone SE 64GB phone with iOS 14.4.2 (I think thats current given no updates listed available) and it was super easy to sync up. Then today driving to work, it was great, super fast connection to phone from time of start of car to synced on phone and music coming out of the car speakers. It does everything I wanted it to do; make music go over bluetooth and come out the car speakers.
Very happy with the Bovee1000 despite the $85 I paid for it on Amazon.
So I decided on a less expensive fix with which I’m satisfied. I purchased an FM transmitter (actually three, the one that worked best I kept - see pic - courtesy of Walmart...). To provide the best connectivity I disconnected the car’s antenna (and mechanism) given FM transmitter’s work by using the weakest channels, i.e., I sought to weaken said channels (I use 88.1) for improved transmission and hence better sound. I also pretty much never listen to the radio so I won’t miss the antenna. The transmitter connects via bluetooth automatically with my phone when I get in the car. I also discovered that if I hardwire the transmitter to my phone, the sound is even better. Is it as good as my CD player? Not quite, but more than acceptable, especially for 16 bucks....I can use it for calls too.
My Motorola Edge Plus 2023 cellphone paired and connected to my 2009 XKR Portfolio Convertible without any problems.
it's a hit or miss proposition, though from what I understand the software is too old to pair with newer iPhones. Ironically, on this topic, last week I decided to remove and paint my center vents, which were faded. This involved loosening the screws for the infotainment center and pulling it out slightly to get the vents out. While I was there I took a look at the connections on the back of the unit. I'm considering purchasing the dongle that is plug and play, though all play functions involve using the phone. That said, the stock bluetooth module for the XK only permits phone conversations, which I rarely do in the car, so no loss there from my perspective. The tricky part will be if my Indy Jag guy can activate the Aux port. I hate the idea of having to go to a dealer and get overcharged for a simple software activation.

I have a 2011 XK and a iphone 16, the trick is to download a song from apple music, also you need the 30 pin connection wire to go into your center console with a bovee plug into the other end and everything should connect just fine, even the steering wheel buttons work as they should also the phone as it should, hope this helps...
Have to admit I'm confused... I'm not sure what you mean by "download a song from Apple music?" Many of my iTunes songs on my iPhone are from Apple music. What 30 pin connector are you talking about? Also, if the AUX port isn't activated, does the 30 pin connector work? Thank you in advance for any clarification you might be able to provide.

Look at post 94 you will see the cable and bluetooth connected on one end and the 30 connector on the other end, if you already have songs or song downloaded on your phone then you are good to go but you need the wire with the bovee connected to the 30 pin connection in your center console.
