Default Will these rims fit

2007 XK

Tire store said all 4 of my wife's rims are bent which is ok because one is cracked. I've been wanting new ones because when we bought the car the previous owner had 8.5s on the back. My question is will these wheels fit in back? They're 10" so I wasn't sure. It says on the site that it will fit but I don't want to get them and then have to pay for shipping back.

I guess you would have to get a few questions answered. What size are the OEM wheels. What is the off set of the OEM wheels. Then doing the math how wide can you go on the inside without hitting any components. You can also adjust the off set to compensate for the extra width . If other 2007 folks have used wider wheels what off sets did they use.

There is quite a bit of room inside the rears and lots of people space the rears out by 15mm... so as long as the backspacing is OK, some seriously wide wheels and tires will fit with no problem.

Is there a way to add 24mm or a 11.5" wheel as long as the offsets are observed?

I only did rudimentary measuring with a stick and my finger, but there is quite a bit, enough for at least 12 inches with still more space. I even checked for availability of large enough tires, and there are some available. I'm still considering having my rear wheels modified to 12-wide. I'd rather get a set of two for sacrificial tests rather than destroy my originals, however.

This is exactly what I am thinking.

But torn between widening the wheel from the rear or adding a lip.

I want the lip, but it may not be possible unless the diameter is increased to 21"

Yeah for some bizarre reason I like the kalminos and not wanting to change.

This is the tire size I am looking at.
Wide but half the price. And less risk of rub.

Yep, a lot less $$$. A bit shorter but not much. Barely narrower but same rim recommendation. Those are a good option.
Agreed, I want to keep my Nevis wheels.

You have an 07XK. I have a 13XKR that came with staggered Orana 20" wheels front and back. To the best of my knowledge the bodies on the X150s never changed from start to finish. Therefore the probability is that the Lexani wheels will fit if the lugs on the hubs match those on the wheels. The Lexani wheel sizes match the Orana wheel sizes on my XKR.

Front offsets are the same for 4.2L and 5.0L X150 models, but rear offsets differ due to the 5.0L e-differential. 4.2L Alcon brake XKR offsets are different from standard brake models. Richzak posted a thread about his quest for aftermarket wheels for his 2009 XKR Portfolio with Alcon brakes.

On their website they state they fit so if not you can just have them returned at their cost!:-)

What?

There are some issues with certain wheels clearing the calipers, but that's not offset related, that's just the wheel design.

The Shadow Chrome Selena wheels on the 09 Portfolio with Alcons are the exact same casting as the Silver finished ones that were fitted to regular XKR's with the standard brakes.

Senta's fit over the Alcons just fine, there's no special version, same for all.

Cambo,

I was led to believe there were different offsets due to the oversize 6-piston front Alcon calipers, and that's why the Selena wheels were exclusive to the 2009 XKR Portfolio. I'll defer to your expertise. Good to know that 20" Sentas will fit with Alcons.

Thanks for correcting my misunderstanding.

Stuart

P.S. I just had my Selenas powdercoated and they turned out great.
