XK model Resurrection?
I am sure this had to be posted in the forum somewhere, but I couldn't find it.
This article came out in May/2020. Looks like Jaguar may be giving the XK another go, though it might be labeled an F-Type 2x2.

It still doesn't have the beauty of line that the X150 does. The rendering is a nice enough design but is too fussy and has too many broken lines where angles and curves meet awkwardly. It lacks the purity and fluidity of the X150 design and I doubt it that new design would become timeless, the way our cars have.
Events have almost certainly overtaken this.
Earlier in the year, Jaguar's big problem was how to bring the much delayed new XJ to market. Now the problem has become an even more fundamental one of survival. Haemorrhaging money, with an alienated core customer base, lacklustre range and a determination to plunge exclusively into electric vehicles, their future looks grim.
Look after your XK's. We won't see the like of them again.

The XK has beautiful, timeless lines but so does this. And IMO, a sportier more modern front end.
I think this would be a seller for Jaguar.

Good news for our XKs though. The last of an era.
I thought this was not engraved in stone now? I sure hope this is not the case.
I like the rendering, however, I don't like the way the rear haunces meet the door, they seem mismatched and don't flow together as well as our X150s. Jaguar has always been known for their GT cars, and we would all welcome one back, but like others, I don't believe it will happen.
You're right. I guess it is not set in stone. I can't find anything saying it is, anyway. I guess I just thought it was. Hopefully this won't happen.
I think what’s appealing in this rendering is the proportions here work better than they do on the F-Type. Seven years later and the F-Type design still does nothing for me but this, this looks good. Sadly it is no more than a picture and Jaguar’s future is no doubt uncertain.
I’m with some of you... looks like a copycat. I’d prefer to see a completely new design that nails a modern look to a classic GT. And that doesn’t mean modifying the f-type... where have all the proper designers gone?? Tracing paper doesn’t count.
Most of these "new rendering" pictures are just normal people having fun creating new lines for an older vehicle. There is no news from Jaguar, so I don't see any point (yet) of hoping for a new GT from them.
This rumour has proven to be untrue. Jaguar has recently confirmed that their own engines will remain in production (sorry, I don't have the source for a quote)...and some of the BMW engines seem to be very weak in certain fatal aspects. I am a slowly recovering BMW owner.

(Talking looks only here - no doubt the current model F-Type has advantages).
