Default XKR Brakes

I was wondering if anyone knew what all the different brake options were for the XKRs? I have a 2009 XKR which has dark grey calipers with the green and red XKR logos on them. On another 2008 XKR parts car I have it has the red 6 piston calipers which is different from standard XK calipers. Not really sure what was standard, what where available options or what may have been retrofitted at this point.

The Alcons were available only with the 2008 and 2009 portfolio editions.

The Alcon Performance Brake Package was standard equipment on the 2008 XKR Portfolio coupe and convertible. For 2009, Alcons were a $5,000 option on the XKR Portfolio.

What made Alcons so expensive - a $5,000 option in 2009?

1. Calipers: painted red, both fronts and rears are cast with raised R Logo, (not a sticker). Fronts are printed "6 piston" and rears are not printed and have 4 pistons.

2. Discs: 400mm front, 350mm rears with crescent-shaped grooves. They were the largest brakes ever fitted to a production Jaguar, until the carbon-ceramic brakes were offered on the F-Type.

Not sure if it was an option elsewhere but in the UK if you had 1,700GBP you could put them on any 2008 or 2009 XKR.
