Default XKR Calipers

Hello everyone, I have a question about brake calipers for a 2013 XKR. Is it possible to install yellow carbon ceramic calipers by replacing certain suspension elements or installing a conversion kit?

With Small modifications it is possible to Mount front Caliper

I have bought four calipers and I was at the brake mechanics and it turned out that the front ones are able to fit but the rear calipers have a completely different bolt location. Thanks for all the tips in advance.

I've put all kinds of calipers on all kinds of cars where they were never supposed to be. BUT, I custom make my own brackets and mounts and stuff. A welder, drill press and metal cutting tools are required.
Nearly everything is doable if you have the tools and ability to do it, and the required cash.

Default Question

Is it very complicated to make such brackets? How time-consuming is it and do you have a company that could do it for me?

@Mario XKR Welcome to the Forum! You'll find lots of knowledgeable and helpful members here. But you need to help us to help you by creating a signature and completing your Public Profile, as detailed in this thread:

Any competent welding shop near you should be able to fabricate that bracket for you. There's no way to answer your question without more details. I suggest that you call some welders and ask them. They may want to see your car and the calipers. Good luck!

Stuart

It isn't complicated for me, but for other persons it may be unfathomable. It usually took me a couple hours per side, disregarding wait time for parts. I'm a retired old coot, the only company I own is in real estate. See what Stuart says.

Default Thanks

Thanks for all the advice. I found a lot of different adapters and brackets on the internet and I'm very curious if any of them will be useful for my car or if I'll actually have to use a workshop and have them custom made. Too bad Brembo doesn't offer them in a set if someone would like to install brake calipers from XKRS GT to a less powerful model, like mine XKR.

Your yellow 6-piston front and 4-piston rear calipers appear to be similar to the red calipers used in the Alcon Performance Brake Package that was available for 2008 and 2009 4.2L XKR models. You may want to search parts sources for the rear brackets for those Alcon-brake equipped cars. Maybe Forum member @jahummer can help, as I think he might have tried doing that on his race car.

Those calipers are the Brembo carbon ceramics from the F type. The fronts will fit straight up with no modification, but the rears will require a new knuckle as well as no rear park as the F type had an electronic rear Park brake.

Default Brembo calipers

Hello, can anyone advise whether these Brembo brake calipers from the older model will fit the 2013 XKR?
