XKR Convertible frozen...help
We had rain overnight in the 40's. By this evening it was 1 degree. Stupidly decided I should warm up car since I hadn't started it in a while and it is not getting warm for a few days. Anyway I opened the passenger door and decided that I would just do it when weather warms up. When I closed door it did not feel right...noticed window had not dropped upon opening the door. It was frozen in place. Only way to close door tight was to put pressure on the upper part of the window as I closed the door. Did I damage anything ? Is there a better solution to close the door when this happens. And no. I won't be trying this agian in this weather.
Doubt you damaged anything. Rubbing the top of the door against the convertible top won't do any damage every now and then.
The best solution is not to park it wet in freezing temps outdoors!

Where in Virginia?
Some advice, I would avoid working on the car in these temps. Yesterday I tried changing my cabin air filter under the hood and one of the blasted plastic tabs broke off, because I guess the plastic was too brittle in these chilly temps!
