Default XKR Leaper missing?

My '09 XKR Portfolio was delivered on Friday, and I found a small Jag Leaper in the back that looks like it was broken off at the tail. Any idea what this comes from? Not anywhere on my car, correct? (Coin for scale.)

A broken Jaguar keyring?

Good call from Graham I'd say.

Some have that on their newer Jags, doesn't work for me and wasn't on your car from new.

Everest:

I own a 2009 XKR Portfolio Edition convertible. The car did NOT have a Jaguar leaper anywhere on the car when it was delivered or produced from Jaguar.

The Jaguar leaper first appeared on the 2012MY.

However, many Jaguar owners, including myself are placing the newer Jaguar leaper badge on the rear trunk lid as in my case. It really adds a nice touch to the car.

So, I suspect that it could very well be a Jaguar application of some other sort like the keychain that was mentioned above and found in the car.

Good call, guys. Thanks.

I like the look of the leaper on the back of the newer XKs, but my already had one about that same size on the bottom of the license plate frame. It looks good, so I'm going to roll with it!

Be sure to go to the 2009 XKR Portfolio Edition page here on Jag Forums and add your name.

Probably just a paperweight. Maybe it came from a Series II or III XJ6/12
