Thanks. That's where I've been hooking up my charger as I learn to use SDD. I also use those jumping lugs for a permanently attached CTEK. And I disconnect the CTEK's leads before attaching the Century charger.
Do you know if SDD still needs to connect to the internet to enable AUX if SDD has already been updated for configuration files?

This totally depends on which version of SDD is used. The older ones work without being connected, the newer ones require it. Don't ask me which ones though.
Thanks kjo7k, good to hear! I just ordered an Iota 75 amp power supply. I'm getting closer to being able to "Add/remove accessories – Auxiliary audio input".
Just to close the loop on this… I successfully enabled AUX this past weekend using an Iota DLS-75 to maintain the required more than 12.5 volts, SDD v130 that had the necessary configuration file, and a Ford Rotunda VCM.
Here’s what the touchscreen looked like before and after enabling AUX.

On a side note, I added a voltmeter to the Iota power supply so I could accurately dial in its potentiometer to the desired 13.4 volts on its nameplate.
I subsequently ordered a Bluetooth adapter and am looking forward to installing and enjoying its better sound quality. Thanks to those that answered my questions to get this accomplished.
As spring is in sight we have had a few warm days so I’ve taken the opportunity to take the car out, only to get an engine warning light. On checking it’s a P0128 which generally is caused by a thermostat failure.
Drained just shy of 1 gallon from the cooling system and removed the thermostat, super easy job and there is a DIY on this forum. As expected my thermostat rubber had failed
My seal had not split, it just stretched allowing water to pass, not the best design. But the replacement was only $40. It takes longer to refill the cooling system than it does to replace the thermostat. More frustrated that I didn’t do it when I flushed the cooling system a few weeks ago.
So a tip to anyone doing a coolant flush, replace the thermostat at the same time as it will definitely fail with age

Assuming you've already enabled AUX but if not, with your version of SDD, is it a hacked version? In other words were you given a user ID and password? If so, it's an offline version only. Either way, no, don't connect to the internet. Look in Service Functions and you'll see the option. Takes about 15 minutes including logging in to SDD. SDD will tell you the minimum voltage needed to perform the task and tell you what you current voltage is.
Sean, yes I did get AUX enabled a few weeks ago (see post #84 above). Thanks for asking. I used SDD v130 posted by TheMindBuddah on his file share and it had the necessary CCF file to perform the task - so I never needed to go online. This v130 covers my 2009 XKR Portfolio and his download also provided the Jaguar-authorized username and password for offline use. My understanding is that v130 is the last version that allowed for offline use. TheMindBuddah's download is a .ova file that creates an Oracle VirtualBox Windows XP set up. He did a really nice job with it.
Latest minor update has been replacing the wheel centers. I checked with the local dealer and they quoted $400 for a set, suffice to say I didn’t go with that.
Quick eBay search shows the exact same parts sold in the UK for $120 shipped.

Kurt,
SDD V150 was the last complete version for off-line use (included VDF).
V138 was issued during 2014, so it included all XKs produced.
It is unlikely that there were vehicle data file updates after 2014 (end of production).
I've always used gray for just a color, and grey for a color associated with age, as in grey hair.
I know it's really just U.S. vs U.K., but where's the fun in that?

Thanks Bill400! That is good information to know. I have a couple different versions set up in VirtualBox on different Windows operating systems of their era. I didn't like v163 because it wanted to go online so I've been sticking to v130. Now I know that I should not go beyond v150 if I want to stay offline.

Exactly, my favorite and timeless song about getting old and ... hmm, I don't remember ..
I purchased the Jag Wrangler Bluetooth system for my car, first of all a big thank you to @Sean W who enabled the AUX on my car.
Happy that I now have music streaming/podcasts.
Simple to fit with excellent instructions all
you need is a T20 and T30 torx and it plugs into the back of the touchscreen.

I didn't use the kit, just rolled my own. First receiver I used had a pretty low output so I swapped it for an amplified unit - much better.
Fortunately, the suspension parts in our cars (other than the boots) are quite robust. Owners have driven many miles before even discovering the boots are gone! It's quite a job to replace everything. I was quoted almost 3 years ago $7500 to replace all original Jaguar parts through Jaguar. I can't imagine what the number would be today.
