D6LC, glad to see you got the report working. It does show your "Accessory USB/iPod" is enabled but it's odd that you don't have it showing up on your infotainment touchscreen. Maybe a loose connection somewhere? One thing you might try... when I plug a USB memory stick into the port in my console, the light on the USB memory stick lights up. If it doesn't on yours, it may point to the console connections having an issue.
Also, not sure why, but my "Diag-Europe" app has one more item showing and it's seems like it may be the most important as it says, "Jaguar". I haven't even installed the "Demo" or "Eobd" items yet.

Hey Kurt. See my previous post #59. That's not how the Fiber Optic loop works. If it is enabled, it will show on the touchscreen. If it's enabled and not working, it will still show up like yours does, but will be grayed out. It's a mystery to me why he has it (thanks for showing how to confirm with the autel) but it's not enabled.
We'll activate AUX too when we get together. That will allow some other options for the OP too. Sorry for the wait to solve the problem but if there's another day n the 50's on the horizon and D6LC is available, we'll get it done.
The Mr12Volt website for the Jaguar X150 4.2L models states: "If your Jaguar is 2009 or earlier, we strongly suggest to open up the screen and check the video cable, make sure it is a 40pin cable before purchasing. Some older screens are using a 30pin cable which will not fit our product."
Is it possible to determine which cable (40 pin or 30 pin) a 2009 XKR has from its VIN?
When Mr12volt refers to the 2009 it’s the UK version (2010 in the US). My XK is a US 2009 and has the 30 pin cable. I was able to source an XF screen and update it to work with my car. I don’t think any US 2009’s have the 40 pin cable…
arenaej, thanks for this. I'm very interested in installing the Mr12Volt; however, I took a look inside and I've got a 30-pin. I'd be interested in more information about how you converted yours to 40-pin. How plug-and-play is this conversion and how would I know the XF screen that I buy has the 40-pin?
Sean W has offered to enable the Auxillary Audio module.
He is a great resource and will help you resolve the malfunction.
SDD can be used to edit the CFF which will change a bit or two in the master CCF files (yes, more than one) that are
continuously broadcast on the Hi and Lo CAN Buses.
These will in-turn edit the performance of the program(s) in the affected control modules.
That is the genius of the CCF concept.
For those interested in doing diagnostics, programming and CCF edits themselves,
consider a complete version of SDD released after your vehicle date of manufacture or the same version as your SDD mentor.
1. SDD, complete with VDF (w/SDD150 and earlier) and access
2. Dedicated laptop with appropriate version of windows and A/C (or DC) adapter
3. VCI, vehicle communications interface (a whole other topic)
4. Battery Maintainer (55A minimum)

I use it under windows 11 on my primary laptop. I am confident that is safe.
However, CCF engineering access using runtime/softwaredownload.html also works well for me.
See the U-Tube video:
SDD/laptop: I run SDD on a dedicated laptop, Panasonic CF-53 under Windows 7 or Xp depending on the version of SDD.
The CF-53 allows quick change of HDD/version of SDD.
Battery Maintainer: An Iota DLS 55 or 75 works well as a battery maintainer.
Similar products are available from WFCO, Progressive Dynamics, Parallax, PowerMax and Todd Engineering serving the RV industry.
VCI: I still use the MongoosePro that I purchased from Mrs. Drew and have a knock-off that I occasionally use as backup.
As famously said by Eric O. on South Main Auto: If I can do it, you can do it.

Not sure which came 1st but this is from forum member Rhys Morgan and is available for windows & MAC https://github.com/rhysmorgan134/SDD...lator/releases I and other forum member have used it and am confident that is safe.

Yes, it is the same from two gifted computer experts.
The original hack was by "Jules" and put in a more convenient form by Rhys Morgan.
They are in the same league with Wozniak and Jobs, IMHO.
Thank you hafren and Bill400. I'm hoping to start setting this all up on my pc in a VM over the next week. Once I'm successful, I'll need to decide on a J2534 device to connect to my car. Thanks again!
Well, I now have SDD/IDS v130 up and working within an Oracle VituralBox running Microsoft XP Professional Service Pack 3 on my Windows 11 Professional PC. I'm now trying to find a VCM interface to purchase (this may be the most difficult part).

Lots of options on ebay. Typically come with a working copy of SDD.
Caution: virus. That is one of the reasons that I use a dedicated laptop.
Folks scoffed at the clones but I have both DrewTech OEM and mangoose.
Other than a shorter cable, I've not had a problem.
Thanks Bill400 for the word of caution. Are you warning that there might be a virus in the software or a clone Mongoose? I'm sure the SDD v130 that I have is clean (and it's running on a VirtualBox).
I think Bill is referring to the software files supplied with the J2534 device or from a shady SDD supplier. Always wise to check any files you may get.
Thanks hafren! I did finally order a Chinese clone Mongoose so I can at least connect it to the car to get familiar with SDD/IDS and to do some diagnostics. Will probably wait until I find a non-clone interface before doing any programming.
As I mentioned earlier, I successfully have SDD up and running. I’m running TheMindBuddah’s v130 package on a Windows 11 PC in an Oracle VitrualBox. It is working very nicely and I’ve successfully connected it to my 2009 Jaguar XKR Portfolio to run diagnostics (using a Drew Technologies CarDAQ-Plus).
Now I’m wanting to enable AUX input for the infotainment system so have a few questions. Will someone be so kind to answer the following?
My belief is that both configuration and as-built files were fully updated to TheMindBuddah’s SDD v130 before posting it to Google Drive. Can anyone confirm that his v130 contains configuration files required for me to enable AUX input?
If not and I need to connect to the internet to download configuration files, can I use the Jaguar approved offline Username (JLR9A8172) and Password (L538X760)? Or will I need a different login to do this?
Then I have a few more questions regarding a battery maintainer.
I currently have a Century 87106 fully automatic battery charger (pictured) that has settings for a 2amp and 10amp automatic charge, but also a 55amp start setting. Will the 55amp setting work as a maintainer during AUX enabling?
Do I connect the battery maintainer directly to the battery leads or to the approved jumping posts in the trunk?
You MAY be able to get that to be enough juice, but with the duty cycle on the START setting as ON once for 5 seconds every seven minutes probably won't cope. It's a constant drain of 35 or more amps while using SDD. Something may brick itself before SDD says to abort.
I use my Shcumacher 2/10/40/200 amp charger set to 40 amps and it works nicely the entire time. Since car batteries act as a filter, the signal is nicely cleaned and purified before it goes into anything electronic. Alternators are also very messy with voltage so the battery filters those to smooth also. DO NOT use a charger WITHOUT a capable battery in place!
Thanks Cee Jay! I didn't mean that I would only attach the maintainer to the battery leads, I was asking if during programming to enable AUX if I should connect the maintainer at the jumper posts or at the battery. Where do you attach your Schumacher when using SDD?
And I appreciate your comment that there is a constant drain of about 35+ amps while using SDD. Good to know.
I use the bare ground threaded lug in the spare tire well in the boot for the negative, the positive on the lug inside the vent panel inside the boot in the left-rear area. Check the owner manual to find the exact lug in that vent area.
Thanks. That's where I've been hooking up my charger as I learn to use SDD. I also use those jumping lugs for a permanently attached CTEK. And I disconnect the CTEK's leads before attaching the Century charger.
Do you know if SDD still needs to connect to the internet to enable AUX if SDD has already been updated for configuration files?
