Unhappy 01 xkr window issues

Hi,
Noticed another issue with my GreenHulk while waiting for valve cover gaskets to arrive: every time i touch the driver side handle window goes down about an inch or so. Car has been sitting about 2-3 months now while i am trying to fix the misfiring problems..Its pain in the butt...
Any ideas why this window keeps dropping?

Thanks,

This is usually a sign of reduced voltage or if the battery has been disconnected. You simply need to reset the windows. Put the window all the way down and hold the switch down until you hear an almost inaudible click. Then put the window all the way up and again hold the switch until you hear an almost inaudible click. Voilą, fixed. You will probably have to do this to the passenger side window also.

...and charge your battery. Car batteries die young when kept in a low state of charge. The low battery may trigger all sorts of puzzling faults in the car also.

Do you mean the window drops (as it should) when you open the door but doesn't go back up ?
That's a door microswitch problem

Yes.. Even with the door closed, every time i touch the handle it keeps dropping down... does not go back up..ever
Ill try the reset method, but i found some treads about the microswitch and crazy door handles that think the door is always open..

What he said. Charge your battery (or replace) first.

If it's the microswitch you won't get a 'Drivers Door Open' warning with the door open.
But listen to the others re a reset first.

Recharge your battery and do the reprogram. If that does not work spray a little (do not saturate) WD40 in and on the locking mechanism and work the door. The latch is often forgotten and never lubricated.

Thanks fellas,
There you go - I've learned something as well.
Thinking about it last night I was a**e backwards - if it's the microswitch the window doesn't lower when you open the door so you can't shut the door 'cos the window bangs into the door seal.
Glad I didn't take a bet on it - and glad it's fixed.
