07 XKR Third brake light toast?

Default 07 XKR Third brake light toast?
Hi all, didn't find anything on here (after a few mins but is it necessary to replace the third brake light (in the deck spoiler) or is there a way to fix the LED/lightbar somehow?
Seems like $210 is the only option:

Some owners have chosen to replace the failed LED strip with a generic replacement, usually at a fairly low cost (less than $25 if I remember correctly)….
