Default Third brake light/Plate Light issues Help?

I have a weird problem. Or actually just a non functioning issue. In my 2001 xkr the third brake light isn't working. In addition to that either are the rear plate lights. Both plate lights were blown and I replaced them. Still nothing. Now both of these being on the trunk g to the same harness. I traced the harness to where it plugs in and all is well. Besides checking fuses I have not gone further than that in case I am missing something silly. All other lights work and I could not find any blown fuses.

Any ideas before I dig deep into this? Next step for me is to check for voltage along the way however someone here may just know whats going on saving me time and frustration.

MANY THANKS!

Damon

Trouble with rear lights is a common issue. Usually due to faulty ground or frayed wires.

Search the threads. Multiple discussions on this.

Here's one with fix: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...esolved-35083/

I traced this to an actual cut in the harness. All is resolved now Thanks!
