The ELM 327 with a downloadable app like torque works fine and is relatively inexpensive. The are a lot of member suggestions for different level of scan tools. Follow the link below for "Member Approved" scanner recommendations..

ELM327 devise that can read beyond codes and see live sensor data as a running recordable graph as you drive around . A car mechanic friend may have one to shorten the learning curve and see the different software qualities available .

Hi!

I just ordered this one - I researched a bit and this came up quite often as a recommendation.
https://www.bluedriver.com/

I chose that one, because it has a "Life" option, which allows you to monitor a lot of different aspects of your engine while you drive.
I also like the "look & feel" of the app.
I will let you know how it works when it arrives and I have some experience using it in my car (X100 XKR 2002)

I did go through that list prior to writing my post. Unfortunately didn’t find anything recommended for my model.

Pretty sure it needs a smartphone.
The whole "package" consists of the hardware and a free app where you can read and configure the data you want to watch.
