can anyone who has installed the switch to be able to control the rear windows
on a XKR convertible manually confirm what PIN numbers You patches into?
are PIN #11 and PIN #15 on the Yellow connector the correct ones to splice into?
reason for asking is that on my XKR 2001 the green/black wire is on PIN #16 !
should I trust the color or the PIN position??
see picture's below for details on my question - many thanks in advance.
green/black wire is on PIN #16 not on PIN #15?<br/>- XKR 2001
switches - one for the antenna, one for the rear windows..
Youtube instructions by Sam..<br/>The wires you are looking for are green/black and green/purple. They are on pins 11 and 15 (on the 2003 they are on pins 16 and 17). So, it's the same connector, but you're looking for the green/black wire on pin 11 and the green/purple wire on pin 15.
Nobody know this ?, ok
the green/black wire should be on PIN #11, anyway...
- I move it from PIN #16 to PIN #15 the green/purple today and give it a test...or maybe I'm getting color blind
PIN #11 and PIN #15 are WRONG - atleast on my car - get suspension error warning on the display and nothing happens to the rear windows...so I give this up !
YES - finally resolved the problem with my "Suspension fault" error code on the console - Lucky me I am so happy now that I finally fixed this issue - the solution was a replacement CATS Suspension module with all # matching as original in my car - removed the grund from the battery - connected the replacement module - error code gone !!! - - reason for the fault was in my case that I tried to connect a manual switch for the rear small windows - however the recommend PIN # to patch into turned out to be totally wrong.
phuuu - lessons learned from this story is that NEVER EVER PATCH INTO WIRES YOU ARE NOT 100% SURE ARE RIGHT
