I was looking over a 1997 XK8 today in my search for a good used one and noticed that inside the trunk the driver side tail light assembly was not painted but the passenger side was. So I'm wondering if this indicates a replacement was installed and if so is the original one the painted one or the unpainted one?

Wayne if this is the access plate that the bulbs fit in, both of mine are black plastic. Jim
