2 easy questions
1). Am looking for the o-ring that seals the mass air flow sensor to the plastic intake pipe. The car is an ‘02 XKR, but the o-ring is likely the same for the XK-8
Barrett only has it as part of the mass air flow “assembly”.
any suggestions for a source. ??
2). Is there a consensus on the best spark plugs
(‘02 XKR). My car is crowding 160,000 miles and the maintenance records I have from previous owners, which look to be very complete, don’t show any record of the spark plugs ever having been changed. Is that possible ? Are the original plugs that good ?

Just ordered one (NJA3553AA) from jaguarclassicparts, but I had a number of other things I ordered to spread the shipping. Cost is often prohibitive without that. Dealer is about the same price if you pick it up.
Our friends in the UK have been pretty quick in the 'coronatimes', I usually receive stuff in a 3-4 days.
Entertainingly it's often more expensive to ship from the dealer in Cary, NC to Durham, NC than from the UK to Durham, NC via DHL. Of course, it's more difficult for me to drive to the UK to pick up orders.

thanks for the reply, but the part I’m looking for is not the big duct seal, just a simple O-ring that fits directly onto the sensor. Mine has swollen up in size enough to make it useless.
everyplace I look wants you to buy a new mass air flow sensor, which I presume includes the o-ring.
unfortunately, the sensor for the supercharged XKR is not used on many other models (except the XJR) and is quite pricey, or I’d just buy a new sensor.
The XK8 sensor seems to be more “universal” and costs much less.

For the o-ring you might be as well off to measure it and buy one from a place like McMaster Carr or even Home Depot. You will want something made of Buna-N or Viton to be sure they are chemical resistant.
As for spark plugs, I believe the recommended change is 100k miles but they can go well past that on a well maintained car. When I replaced the plugs with all the twin screw stuff I used NGK iridium plugs. Hasn’t missed a beat.

Superior-quality iridium plugs such as NGK and Denso indeed can last a long time. I changed the NGK iridium plugs in my wife's 2006 XK8 at just over 100,000 miles and they still looked and performed fine. I changed the Denso iridium plugs in my wife's previous 2000 Lexus RX300 at just over 130,000 miles and they also looked and performed just fine. Under normal conditions I would not be surprised if these iridium plugs can do 200,000 miles or more with no issues....
I’m sold on the NGK iridiums also. I have a set of the laser iridium IFR5N-10 plugs on the way.
ccfulton, I think you are right about the o-ring. I’ll order several of them so can give away the extras. Funny how important it is to clean the MAF sensor, but no readily available replacement for the sensor o-ring
