2002 XK8 Runs Great With These DTC Codes...
Car engine died, luckily got to a parking spot just off the street I was driving locally and lucky not the highway at 70MPH. Shut engine down, restarted car and gear box light on. Got home, shut engine down and restarted with no gear box light on. Took out at least ten fuses and they all had a grey colored film on the contacts, car agins is now but I have the below codes while the car runs like a dream. Prior to gear box light activating I was down hill parked and should have put the emergency parking brake on because if you don't you can end up with a gear box default light activated on the instrument panel.
What about these codes while the vehicle always runs just outstanding and it is at this very moment because I just went out for a test drive now.. See below codes...
Jaguar XK8 Codes/Diagnosis
These are the OBD codes he pulled:
P0102 – MAFS circuit low voltage
P0112 – IATS circuit high voltage low air temperature
P0444 – EVAPP valve circuit open circuit
P1000 – System check not completed since last memory clear
P1336 - Crankshaft position system
P1643 – CAN TCM token message missing
P1260

Gear Box Fault Light On.
The contacts on the filmed cover fuses I cleaned are, igniton, starter solenoid, transmission, and others. I'm am now receiving two electric relays for swap out. If these relays are related to the transsisson which fuse box do they go to? I have a relay schematic for 2002 XK8 but what do you say where they get positioned at?

I have my own OBDII reader, it's an Innova and it only show's the P1000 code which designates system has been checked or what ever, P1000 from my understanding can be ignored? The Mech that recently drew the codes didn't mention whether or not the codes were historical or current? Vehicle runs terrific while the engine dying the other day never happened before. I've cleaned many grounding cables and will more today. Considering driving vehicle with Innova reader plugged in and see if any codes pop up? I think I have to replace the brake switch because the J Gate solenoid stopped clicking and vehicle must be shifted into reverse and drive using the auxillary method by removing the "star plug" in the J Gate and inserting rod to release the shifting lever that's stuck in park. But, my cruise control works and all tail lights work fine so the solenoid it self could be the culprit while I have installed a new roller switch in the gate and that did nothing. Next is the clunk in the rear end heard when going over small pavement seams, vehicle has new Billstein shocks, new brakes, new parking brake shoes, new sway bar pins. I'll jack it up today and do a visual along with a crowbar and leverage a few things while checking a whole list of items I have prepared: Exhaust hangers, brake calipers/springs, parking brake pulley, axle shafts and a whole bunch more. New shocks came with new lower shock mounts. Going to check top nut on rear shocks and tighten if necessary? If I find something I ring you and let you know. Thanks for your input regarding any mechanical/electrical matter. I'm also replacing relays for kicks.

P1000 should change to P1111 so you have something preventing that (and you probably did something to clear the P1111 and cause the P1000).
Your main clues are the codes you had and any readings of live data you do.
The car isn't running right, though you perhaps can't tell without using OBD or some other tool(s).

Yes, P1000 says it hasn't finished all the OBD checks, which leads to the question - why hasn't it ? It should change to P1111 as JagV8 said. It is a good idea to check your grounds. Does it seem like the power fluctuates sometimes ? It may have something to do with the security J-gate, that sounds strange. You could do a hard reset as suggested and see what comes back first.

Yeh I had those codes come up and cleared em a while back. Just removed rear tires and forced up rotor vertically with wood and crow bar and some vertical play indicating this is whats making the clunking noise (sounds just like it) and it's time for bearing replacement. Will now run live scan data and let ya know. Greased the four drive axle U-Joints while under it.

Vehicle passed the smog test last June, P1111 code showed up along time ago and was cleared and has never returned. Local parts store has a Bosch scanner free test and I try them and see what comes up for kicks, vehicle runs great no matter the p1000 code displaying so I don't know what's up? P1000 code won't clear.
